How hardship and curiosity shaped my career path
The Spark and the Struggle
2008I graduated with a higher technical degree, eager to enter the workforce, but finding a decent job was an uphill battle. Growing up in a modest family, I did not own a laptop and had no internet access at home. I had absolutely no concept of what trading, coding, or MetaTrader (MT4) meant.
Then, conflict struck my home region. In an instant, I lost everything: my home, relatives, friends, and the first job I had only recently managed to secure. I was forced to migrate, living in temporary shelters, constantly moving, and often starving. With only a simple mobile phone, I began searching for a way to earn a living online—seeking a hobby that could eventually bring in some income and support me anywhere in the world.
The Discovery of Ilan Dynamic
2010I stumbled upon a trading forum thread discussing a free grid robot called Ilan Dynamic 1.6. It was a straightforward Martingale system: a simple grid with an RSI-based entry for the first order, a volatility step filter, and a series-wide take-profit goal in points. Intrigued by this mathematical logic, I saved enough to buy my very first laptop and decided to dive headfirst into Forex.
I began sharing logic enhancements on the forum. The community was highly active, and talented developers started coding my ideas into new versions of the bot. It was a thrilling cycle of testing on demo and cent accounts, but it had one major bottleneck: I didn’t know how to code in MQL myself. I was entirely dependent on the goodwill and availability of others.
The Algorithmic Idea Generator
2012Over the years, I posted nearly 1,000 algorithmic enhancements on trading forums. I sought to dismantle the core vulnerabilities of traditional Martingale and grid EAs. I designed concepts that would solve the fatal flaws of traditional grids, which commercial sellers quickly noticed. Many developers took my open-source concepts, optimized them on historical data, and packaged them as commercial, proprietary products. While it was bittersweet, it proved one thing: my strategies worked.
Collaborative Development
2015Recognizing the detail in my ideas, a professional programmer proposed a partnership: he would write the code, and I would design the algorithms and test the systems. This was my first official role in the industry.
I gained a reputation for drafting perfect Technical Specifications (ТЗ). By mapping out every edge case, risk limit, and logic loop, I helped developers write flawless code on the first attempt. Programmers loved working with me because I was thorough and never missed a technical detail in the design documentation.
Writing My First Script
2018Working alongside professional coders inspired me to start writing MQL code myself. After compiling my very first trading robot, there was no turning back. It was absolute magic.
I focused on coding custom, reusable library headers (.mqh) built from my cumulative experience. By standardizing recurring functions like orders modification, safety locks, and API connections, I created a Lego-like modular architecture that allows me to build stable, bug-free robots rapidly.
The Complete Quantitative Developer
PresentToday, I am a seasoned developer fluent in MQL5, C++, Python, PHP/Laravel, and Electron. I have engineered and deployed advanced client-server systems like my MQL Protection Services to secure commercial EAs against cracking, alongside custom web interfaces with live APIs and high-frequency execution utilities.

Algorithmic Innovations
Key grid & martingale concepts I developed and optimized over the years
LastTP Logic
Assigns independent Take Profit targets to specific grid levels instead of closing the entire series globally. If the market pulls back slightly, the last, high-lot orders close out profitably, reducing the total floating exposure without requiring a full market reversal.
Virtual TP & SL
Keeps stop-losses and take-profits local to prevent broker stop-hunting and hide algorithmic parameters. The system stores execution thresholds locally and triggers market orders immediately when target criteria are met.
Overlap (Caterpillar)
An intelligent drawdown-healing system. It takes the net profit earned by the newest, most profitable grid orders and uses it to liquidate the oldest, deepest losing positions in small increments. This gradually shrinks the overall basket size and frees up margin.
Multi-Hedge Grid
Constructs opposing buying and selling baskets with dynamic step expansion. When one side encounters strong trends, the opposite hedged basket offsets margin drag. Grid spacing adjustments are dynamically determined via ATR volatility measures.
Volatility Filters
Monitors real-time price speed (ticks per second) or integrates economic calendars. During extreme news (NFP, CPI, interest rates), the system automatically pauses grid generation, increases spacing, or locks trades to prevent getting caught in one-way market spikes.
Double TF Entry
Aligns indicators across multiple timeframes before initiating a grid (e.g. confirming trend direction on both M5 and H1). This filters out false entries during late ranges and ensures the grid is established in the direction of major trend flows.
Grid Locking & Hedging
An emergency survival mechanism. When a grid basket reaches a predefined maximum drawdown threshold, the EA triggers counter-hedging positions, freezing the drawdown. It then initiates an automated corrective module to gradually unlock the grid stage-by-stage.
Trend Pyramiding
A smart adaptation layer. If a breakout occurs and a grid position aligns perfectly with a strong, sustained macro trend, the EA transitions from defensive averaging to offensive trend pyramiding, scaling exposure using locked trailing profits.
